陈实,深圳市转化医学研究院院长,深圳大学第一附属医院(深圳市第二人民医院)特聘教授,博士生导师。

入选美国微生物科学院院士、科技部中青年科技创新领军人才,主持国家基金委杰出青年基金、重点国际合作项目、面上项目等,任科技部合成生物学重点专项首席科学家。致力于化学生物学、微生物与生化药学、合成生物学、mRNA疫苗与噬菌体治疗方面的研究。

教育背景

硕士毕业于华中农业大学生物技术本硕连读班,博士毕业于上海交通大学;

博士期间赴韩国高等科技学院进行合作交流。

工作经历

先后在美国麻省理工学院和哈佛大学进行博士后研究、武汉大学药学院任教,曾任武汉大学药学院院长。

研究方向和兴趣

1.基因组修饰编辑与合成生物学

利用最新发展的合成生物学前沿技术,对细胞、噬菌体或病原菌基因组进行精确地鉴定、修饰和编辑,鉴定宿主对病毒或病原菌的防御机制,结合表观遗传学、基因组学、蛋白组学等,发展出特定设计的工程细胞或工程噬菌体,解析这些表观遗传学修饰或基因组改造对细胞生命活动或对病原菌侵染能力的影响,并阐明这些修饰或改造对超级耐药菌的噬菌体疗法中的潜在应用。

2.创新药物的设计与改造

依据药物合成的机理及对病毒、神经、肿瘤等重大疾病致病机理的认识,通过全面的病理分析,合理筛选并设计潜在药物,并通过前沿技术合成生物学、基因组编辑、基因工程、蛋白质工程、代谢工程及组合生物合成途径进行优化改造,发展相应的生物材料、创新药物、mRNA疫苗和治疗手段,以获得性能改善并可应用于临床的创新药物或疫苗。
