从事脊柱外科专业25年，曾赴韩国、德国进修脊柱外科微创、退变手术技术。主持参加广东省及深圳市科研课题多项，在国家级及省级学术期刊发表论文十余篇，主编或参编十余本专著。2013年开始，在深圳市教育局和深圳市卫生健康委员会的支持下开展深圳市中小学生脊柱侧弯免费筛查，至今已筛查深圳市10-17岁中小学生400万人/次，项目入选深圳市公共卫生民生实事项目，已初步建立以医校结合，医体结合，以社康及基层医院为依托的深圳市青少年脊柱健康网络与体系；以脊柱健康中心为牵头单位，脊柱侧弯防治中心入选深圳市重大疾病防治中心。
